AHO Guidance on COVID-19 infection prevention and control for primary care settings in Africa
Africa Health Organisation (AHO) has produced a Guidance and Technical Report on COVID-19 infection prevention and control for primary care, including general practitioner practices, dental clinics and pharmacy settings in Africa.

As of 21 June, there were 9,024,672 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the world and 469,389 deaths. Despite these numbers, much is still misunderstood or unknown about the virus which has brought regions of the globe to a standstill and placed huge pressure on the global economy.

Despite growing concern that COVID-19 may have a devastating impact in regions with fragile healthcare systems, case numbers in Africa have not escalated at the same exponential rate seen in other parts of the world. As of June 14th, Africa have almost 170,000 confirmed cases, representing just 2% of the world’s total cases.
