Tawonga Mwase-Vuma

Research Fellow

Tawonga Mwase-Vuma is a research fellow at the university of Malawi’s centre for social Research, Malawi. He holds an MPH in public Health from the University of Nottingham (UK). Before joining the University of Malawi, he taught Epidemiology and health systems for undergraduate students at SHAREWORLD Open University (Malawi). In the past, Tawonga worked as a nurse/midwife with Malawi’s Ministry of Health in Neno district before committing himself to the academia.
Currently, Tawonga is a PhD student at the university of Strathclyde (UK). His research focuses on globalisation and non-communicable diseases, specifically investigating levels of 24-hour movement behaviours among pre-school children in Malawi
