Simon Ahrens

Policy and Research

My name is Simon Ahrens and I am a recent graduate of the BA International Relations at King’s College London. Throughout my degree, I developed a keen interest in social policy in Sub-Saharan Africa at the intersection of public health and sustainable development. At the Africa Health Organisation (AHO), I plan to draw upon my research experience in this field to help improve wellbeing across the African continent through strategy reports on a more equitable health infrastructure. I look forward to joining the AHO team as a research and policy volunteer with a particular focus on the socio-economic determinants of health inequality in South Africa and Namibia.
