Policy and Research

I am Sanjay Mathew, an Indian National from Chennai, India. I identify myself as a driven and versatile medic with a demonstrated history of leadership and research experience, as well as an experienced Ambassador in the non-profit organization management industry.

Strong community and social services professional pursuing an MSc International Public Health from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM). Also, a recipient of the LSTM Merit Scholarship! Current research focus – working a part of a team to understand and improve Research Capacity Strengthening (RCS) in African Higher Education and Research Institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa within natural sciences related to WASH, Soil- related science and Renewable energy. A project undertaken by Centre for Capacity Research at LSTM, project commissioned by DFID, Royal Society and African Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC).

I am currently seeking opportunities that will maximize my diverse personal and professional perspectives, to work with organizations and leaders with a vision to apply strategic and innovative problem-solving skills to improve the current global health climate and strengthen health systems.

I am excited by the prospect of being able to contribute to and produce influential research as part of my role as Policy and Research Volunteer.
