Rebecca Tayler Edwards
Gender Equality Policy and Strategy
“Hi, my name is Rebecca Tayler Edwards.
I am an intersectional feminist and activist located in Birmingham and Luton. I have recently graduated in BSc Psychology at the University of Birmingham and am currently protesting for the BlackLivesMatter movement in Birmingham.
In America, I trained in Feminist Theory, Psychology of Sexuality, Sexual violence, Psychology of Gender and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). I have researched the perspectives of domestic violence and presented strategies to prevent human trafficking in New Orleans.
I am honoured to join the Africa Health Organisation team as a gender equality policy and strategy volunteer. During this role will I research and assist in building a strategic plan of action against VAWG – an area of gender-based oppression that I am passionate about.”
