Policy and Research

I’m Becca and I am currently studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of East Anglia. Researching and writing about the Global Political Economy has made it clear to me that unacceptable levels of inequality exist relating to gender, income to healthcare. I want to challenge this by working in policy and research.

In 2018 I spent three months working with a Women’s Rights Charity in Burkina Faso, mainly organising and holding awareness raising sessions covering topics from STDs and Aids/HIV to domestic abuse. I loved working alongside the people I met and would love to work in Africa again one day. Hopefully I can use some of my insight and experience there and apply it to create and fight for practical policy development. I am very excited and grateful to be able to work alongside the AHO, and be able to contribute to improving health standards across Africa.
