Mariam Shwea
Policy and Research
I have recently graduated from Imperial College London with a master’s degree in Global Pubic Health, having previously earned a First-Class honours degree. As a student of Public Health, I was allowed to draw on knowledge from a variety of disciplines to define, critically evaluate, and resolve various health and humanitarian cases. I have used this knowledge to write my soon-to-be published research paper on how West Africa’s communities have collectively overcome the Ebola virus epidemic. I hope to use my expertise and help establish the many ways diseases can be combated and health equity in Africa can be achieved and promoted.
