Josh Epstein-Lines
Policy and Research
My name is Josh Epstein-Lines and I am excited to join the team at AHO, viewing this as an excellent opportunity to apply and enhance my skills in research and policy for an important cause. I have been fortunate enough to work on several volunteering and professional projects both at home and abroad that focused on improving social welfare and I am well aware of just how important good health is for achieving the key development goals across the African continent. The topic of health is of particular interest to me and I have been fortunate enough to already develop a broad understanding of many of the key indicators that determine good health, having recently completed a dissertation exploring the effect that government health spending has on health outcomes. I look forward to researching the topic of health in Africa in more depth in the hope of making a real-world impact and to hone my skills into a field of study I am passionate about.
I recently graduated from the University of East Anglia and hold a BA (with Honours) in International Development with Economics and I intend to undertake and MSc in Development Economics in September 2021. I am grateful for this opportunity at AHO and look forward to applying myself in the role.
