George Swithenby

Policy and Research

My name is George Swithenby and I am a second year student at the University of East Anglia studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics. During the past year, I have studied Global Political Economy and Practical Ethics, both of which triggered an interest in International Development, specifically with regards to income and health inequality, as well as other wider societal issues. I also have an extensive background in social research and writing reports, primarily through the study of economic theory.

I am excited to put my skills and interests to use by volunteering for the Africa Health Organisation and in doing so, contributing to improved healthcare provision in Africa.

Upon graduation, I wish to study either Development Economics or Social Research Methods at postgraduate level. My experience volunteering for the Africa Health Organisation will certainly help me prepare for both.
