Anastasia Krywonos

Policy and Research

My name is Anastasia and I am a final year Medical student at University College London (UCL). I am passionate about exploring the social and cultural determinants of health, having previously undertaken independent research on health seeking behaviours in Myanmar, as part of my intercalated degree in Medical Anthropology. I have also been involved in qualitative research in public health in the UK, exploring how health systems and cultural beliefs have an impact on population health, and on traditional medicines and their usage in China.

I am excited to be joining AHO as a Policy and Research volunteer to help further develop an understanding of how policy and societal factors contribute to health outcomes, and how best to navigate these in a global health setting.
